Easy double chocolate loaf cake with whole wheat flour

This double chocolate cake with whole wheat flour is moist and fluffy and so easy to make. It is the perfect snack for little ones and for the whole family to enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/2 cup honey (180 gr)

  • 1/2 cup milk (135 gr)

  • 1/2 cup yogurt (115 gr)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil (60 gr) + extra for brushing your pan

  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (225 gr), shifted

  • 3 tbsp cocoa (15 gr), shifted

  • 1 tbsp baking powder (9 gr)

  • 1 chocolate bar (85 gr), cut in pieces

  • (Optional) Zest of an orange

Directions

  • Preheat your oven at 360F (180C) and brush your loaf pan with a splash of olive oil
  • In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs
  • Add the honey and whisk very well until frothy (about 3-4 minutes)
  • Add the milk, oil, yogurt and whisk to incorporate
  • Add the shifted flour, cocoa and baking powder and whisk to incorporate
  • Add the chocolate chunks (keep some for the top) and orange zest and mix
  • Place the batter in your loaf pan and decorate with more chocolate chunks
  • Bake about an hour or until a knife comes in and out clean. Mine took 1 hour and 5 min
